Charles Heller has performed with the late Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach and David Kusevitsky. As a collector and editor of Jewish folk song he has carried out original research into many of the areas discussed in this book and is uniquely qualified to present this fascinating account of the rich and varied world of Jewish Music.

He was the Choir Director at Beth Emeth Synagogue in Toronto, and is a consultant editor for the Cantors Assembly of New York. His arrangements and original compositions are published by Kjos.
